Site visit includes a full assessment of the resources of the project area(s), assets, opportunities, and potential problem areas, including planning for heavy rains. Client receives a basic, not-to-scale sketch of the top/plan view with notes based on discussion.
*Separate design contract required for full design and estimation services, as needed. Installation/build contract also separate.
Focus
Twin Dragon is a full service design/build studio for transforming landscapes and interior courtyards using Chinese and Japanese principles with a modernist or postmodern flavor, depending on the client's taste. Aesthetics and functions, such as water management, are integrated in each unique landscape or interior design with a visionary use of space, curated and native materials, and existing features. Nature is the template and muse. Superb crafting is the goal; artistry is the result.
Japanese and Chinese style gardens are a specialty and include traditional tea gardens, dry stream beds, 'zen' gardens, ponds and water features, architecture, art installations (please inquire), and indoor landscaping and water features patterned on classical interior courtyard design. Rooftop projects welcome.
Site planning, design, and project management are unified throughout the creative build phase. Milo Mietzner is the primary artist responsible for assembling these garden art compositions. They follow the masters of Taoist and Buddhist traditions and are guided by their own intuition and deep understandings of nature.
Seasonal pruning, private lessons, and educational programming are available.
